All over the world they say that India is the world's largest democracy. But what does democracy mean to a common man in the street of Dharavi the largest slum area, or a freedom fighter who is still waiting for his pension to be sanctioned and the list just goes on.......
Now let me tell you a simple fact that India is a parliamentary type of democracy which every one knows . And parliament is the place where the microphones are thrown and it is the place where the so called people's representatives disrupt the session in which there may be many important bills passed for the welfare of the people and most recently bringing cash into the parliament.... oooophhhhh my list continues in this case also.....
Now how does these things affect us the people of India? Yes these may affect the where the many welfare schemes that were to be tabled would not be done . Therefore no laws, no new schemes ,no change . and at last no development..... In spite of these @##$%% things our country is developing at the rate of 7% (when the world is hit hard by recession). How is this possible?thats simply the pure determination of the people of India.
Okay now lets come to DEMOCRACY .....in simple terms its just by the people of a country for the people. Now what is happening to India in this case ...... can a common man have a say in his own country can he make the govt. to bring or pass a bill which he needs or can he ask the govt. to make some old amendments in the constitution ........... NO NEVER this cant happen in our country until and unless there are any revolutionary changes happens in our country
A person cannot even ask his/her constituency's MP to address to their woes and problems then where can he ask for a bill that helps him.............
Thus is the state of democracy in our country so now next time when you hear anyone say India is a democratic government try to educate him or just laugh at him and go away because basically even we are Indians
